Airport Express Bus
The Airport Express bus is the most affordable public transfer option. Once you step outside the airport, look for the small office marked Airport Shuttle. You can pay by card or cash, and the current published fare is 3.4 JOD.

The bus passes key points in Amman and ends at North Bus Station. Ask which stop is closest to your accommodation before you get on.
! Avoid the Bus Drop-Off Taxi Scam
A common scam can start at the airport shuttle ticket office or on the bus. Staff or the driver may ask where foreign travelers are getting off, then taxi drivers may wait at that drop-off point.
When you step off the bus, waiting taxi drivers may rush you, take your bags, and say they will use the meter. A short ride from North Bus Station or one of the circles is usually around 3-5 JOD, depending on distance and traffic.
Be careful with the meter: 3.34 JOD can look like 33 JOD when you are tired or unfamiliar with the small decimal point.
! Critical Safety Reminder
Do not take the taxis waiting at the bus drop-off if you can avoid it. Order Uber or Careem and pay through the app. If you do not have internet and must take a taxi, check the price from your drop-off point to your accommodation before leaving the airport, save a screenshot, agree the fare clearly, and pay only at the end of the ride.
